Meanwhile, sharing some trip highlights below for your enjoyment: Barcelona, Madrid, Lisbon – My Oct 2013 Trip Highlights, My Top 5 : 1. Barcelona - A sunny day with temps in the low 70s, clear blue skies, spent relaxing on the beautiful, crescent-shaped, Barceloneta beach of platinum sand, by the azure blue, calming Mediterranean sea, among people from the world over. 2. Lisbon - A day round-trip by bus, starting from the magnificent Tejo river-front plaza, driving along the spectacular coastline of Portugal on the Atlantic ocean, passing by several scenic beaches, cliffs, and landmarks. 3. Madrid - A day spent, leisurely walking through one of Europe’s key art galleries, Museo del Prado, enjoying and admiring thousands of paintings by some world-renowned artists like Velazquez, Goya, Rubens, Picasso, and others. 4. Barcelona - A day spent on a city bus tour, getting on & off as I pleased, leisurely walking through museums and marveling at the amazing architecture and art of Gaudi and Picasso; La Pedrera, Sagrada Familia, Cathedral being some of the memorable places. 5. Barcelona – A day spent walking along, hanging out, the famous pedestrian thoroughfare La Rambla, from the spectacular Plaza Catalunya to the towering statue of Columbus, enjoying the variety of street vendors, people, food.
