Hi, Friends! Your Friendly Faerie Commander here to give a PSA - TopicsExpress

Hi, Friends! Your Friendly Faerie Commander here to give a PSA on how to interact with the Hidden Folk visiting Canterbury this year! Ive been asked by a handful of mortals, and figured this would be a good place to put it out there for anyone who may have been curious as well. All of this depends entirely on you and how far you are willing to play. If this means not at all, we wont be offended. None of these are things you need to memorize, because I know its a lot. I just want it to be available. General!: >You probably already have glitter on you. Right now. Theres no helping it. Well avoid physical contact if you have an opposition, but lets be real on the inevitability of this. ;] >You cannot see us in our true form [as Fae]. >We have something called the Power of Influence. This means, assuming you want to play, we can whisper in your ear to do something, and you would do it. You dont necessarily need to understand, and you can even ask yourself out loud [so the patrons can hear] why you did. This includes freezing you temporarily. Again, all of this depends entirely on how much you are willing to play. :] >Depending on your Level of Perception, you may be able to catch shimmers; the air where we are standing may bend the way it does above a flame; you may catch our shadows; or even see something out of the corner of your eye that disappears. Make it suit you. >If any of our wingéd creatures pass, you may suddenly smell flowers. >If you have no time, or energy to play at that moment in time, simply sneeze if we look like were about to approach and we will leave you be. If you /actually/ sneeze and you want to play, follow up with something like, Oh, no! I hope I did not frighten any nature spirits with that! or some other cute phrase. Specifics!: >Micaela Hegarty; Our Queen of the Fae and Winter Court, wants to bring you the confusion of snowflakes falling. Even on hot days. >Shawn P Nelson; Our Leader in the Summer Court, may bring warmth to you. If you are a lady, you may suddenly feel a swoon coming on. >Michael Bishop; We all know Rowan! Part of his costume is a little, orange butterfly in his beard. You cannot see Rowan, but the butterfly is perfectly visible to human eyes! >Jacob D Solum; Who plays Sangreal, a servant to the Winter Queen, would like to have the ground around him be slick, like ice. >Samantha Myers; Who is the drumming Faerie, wants you all to know that her drum can be heard, even if not seen. >Erica Sumac Keithley; Thats me. I play a Faun. I am young and my glamour [what makes you unable to see us] wears off sometimes. You can occasionally see me in the form of a white doe. For the most part, we will not approach you unless its already pre-established that you want to play with us, so let us know! If you have a schtick in mind, I can guarantee you that /someone/ in our group will want to play along with it. Just ask! Love and Light!
