Hi Gang: For many months we have been meeting and planning and discussing every detail. We’ve taken turns meeting at someone’s house and preparing a meal to share. We met at Pal’s Cabin right before they shuttered the old place for good. Talk about memories. Then there was the great meeting where Trish came up from DC and Max treated for Sloppy Joes at Nancy’s house! Jim Turbett drives up from Virginia for every meeting. What a trooper. So many decisions and logistics to put this together. Kathy “Willmo” has been an incredible leader and Chairman. Chuck has been our reliable treasurer with Rae managing the reservations. Sue Fershing researched CHS Scholarship to make a donation after paying expenses and shes our fearless FB Administrator. Sue Kamler is The Worlds Best Baker – she keeps us well fed. Gail tracked down and arranged for the Photo Booth. Maybe you’ve heard from one our energetic Phone Squad members or Elementary School Captains: Karen, Nancy, Sue Fershing, Steve, Donald, Ray, Laurie, Joan, Barbara Lazar, Trish, Jeannie, Ned or Richard who have been relentless in tracking down alums. We have worked very hard to present our 50th Columbia High School Reunion. We will have an incredible time. We’ll start on Friday Oct. 17, 2014 with a “welcome back” cocktail party. The venue is perfect – Grand Hotel in Summit, NJ. Sat. Oct. 18th we’ll have dinner and music and a photo booth and much more! Saturday afternoon you’ll have a chance for a trip down memory lane with a visit to CHS!! Now we need YOU to sign up and make your reservation. You should have received either or both an email invitation or an invitation via the US Postal Service. Please don’t delay. Send your reservations back this weekend.
