Hi Gilbert I have a 16-year-old school going son and my spouse - TopicsExpress

Hi Gilbert I have a 16-year-old school going son and my spouse cannot work due to health reasons. My spouse currently is seeking treatment for various health issues at TTSH, SGH, and IMH The MSW worker of IMH has been of great help to us assisting us by all possible way. I do not own a HDB flat and infact still in negotiation with HDB on the $1000 booking fee which we could not afford. Currently we are staying at a rented flat from HDB for low income family as my case was a very special and exceptional case. The rent is $310 per month. We are still owing 2-month arrears in rental as due to unforeeen circumstances the money was used for payment for urgent needs. Expenses listing i can scan and forward to you tomorrow. At this moment I can still manage, the worry comes in towards end of the month and I have attached a copy of the breakdown expenses. IMH MSW worker is very helpful, he has then referred me by FSH for pocket money application assistance but till now I still didnt get any updates. I have seen the MOM website and my understanding is salary need to be paid out within 7days by the employer after the cessation service of the employee does this applies to all companies or employees have to follow the company rules as in if the is 2nd payout dates it would be the subsequent payout date? As DHL HR put across to me is that my salary would be paid on the 2nd payout date whereby they would have violated the MOM ruling as it would be 14 days after my service ends with DHL. Thanks and regards, Linda (ex-DHL staff who was replaced by a Malaysian) Editors note: We are trying to see how we can best assist the family.
