Hi Guys, Here we are again, addressing the state of Sparta. I love doing these updates for you guys and also always welcome all feedbacks from our players. We have, since our inception, been very sensitive to the demands of you guys and we try our level best to keep you satisfied and happy. But now, it is Sparta that request your understanding and cooperation. With the recent increase in cost price and changing of trade terms with our suppliers, Sparta finds itself at the losing end and honestly it has difficult for us to maintain current pricing, especially with Magic related products. As you all are well aware, Magic the Gathering (MtG) is big at Sparta. Currently we boast the highest new player signups for 2013 and hopefully 2014 (with real players, no phantoms). And as such, Hasbro (MtG Owners) have also increased the cost price for all of our products and have removed certain rebates that was crucial before for us to turn a lil profit. So what has this gotta do with you?Well, they have increased the price since Theros, and we have been maintaining the same price structure for all our products regardless. However with new welcomed competition and poor spending power, players have somewhat dwindled the past quarter and this effects us badly. If you guys realize, the other shops have taken steps to circumvent this by increasing the base price of booster packs to RM12. So, with great regret and sadness, we have decided to follow suit as well and increase our price to RM12 for all English boosters. We will from time to time, announce special rates during FNMs and other events, and we promise to keep it interesting. Do ask the counter from time to time about these special offers. I assure you that you wont be disappointed if you do (dont forget to bring your friend along :D) As for the prices of fatpacks, clashpacks and event decks, we will post them from time to time as to reflect the current demand and supply. We will also try to maintain our prerelease prices so that it will still be interesting to you guys as well. Sparta always makes it interesting for you guys. Now, speaking of prices, we also regret to inform that prices for all our other products will also be increased in the coming months. It all depends on our talks with the suppliers on how to decrease the cost price in order to maintain the current prices for you guys. Hopefully all goes well. We will keep you guys updated. We will make you guys a promise. We will review the prices of MtG once things gets better (ie. our economy stabilizes, our spending power strengthens, Hasbro giving us a better deal). We have always put you guys first and that will never change. Sparta will never waiver in our promise for the best gaming experience and we promise that we are here to stay for you guys!!!
