Hi Guys, I have a 2005 Combo 1.3 CDTi, Its done 130k miles and was an ex company van. I start the van in the morning and it drives fine for about 5 minutes, Then my Car with spanner light comes on. If i then accelerate hard or drive about 2750rpm my engine goes into a limp mode and if I keep my foot down the engine will die, I then have to pull over, switch the van off and back on. It will then be fine for a few more miles until it reoccurs. I have driven the van for around 1000 miles and if you drive nice and steady it drives perfectly. It is however very annoying when you want to overtake etc. I plugged in my Op Com on my laptop and it came up with a P00 something code and said the EGR Valve was Stuck Open... I cleared this code but it has kept returning and the van persists to play up under those conditions. Can i simply clean the EGR valve to relieve the problem or can I delete the EGR System. Also could there be any other causes or related issues ??? Someone said to clean the inlet manifold etc out and renew all the gaskets etc... Would that help? Not had any experience with the 1.3 engines until now and other than this annoying fault it has been a great van!
