Hi ,,I had this 60 yr old patient who came to me for dentures, She had all teeth missing except 28 and 34,35. I examined her ridges slightly resorted due to age, but otherwise everything seemed fine..we decide to go for dentures..now the patient I must say , either due to loss of memory or so had a problem with her bite. She gave an eccentric anterior cross bite ...around 42,43,44 region. So I took a rebite again for the anterior region alone....the wax trial the second time however was superb giving the ideal class 1 bite..very happy with the trial taken thee second time , i gave a go ahead to the lab for final finish, in fibre glass with high impact teeth...the dentures came ..and when the patient came I went ahead with delivery..However no matter how much I grinded the dentures..I. Could not restore the bite to what it was in the wax trial..the problems I faced were 1) when the clasp was fitted onto the 28 the right side of the denture tipped a limitless low2) with the lower denture..no bite was established...however grinding the right side of upper and lower dentures I have brought it into centric occlusion..however the left side the occlusion is restored to 99% with about .5 mm gap between the opposing teeth ..the ant bite has been restored and right side is now in centric occlusion What Im unable to understand is when my trial was so good..how come the bite and occlusion have totally changed in the dentures...how to now restore dentures to proper centric bite and centric occlussion...the patient has diff bite each time..please help ,. Please advise ,.no pics..cause I didnt shoot any, no opgs too...thanks all in advance..
