Hi I have an auto Immune disease called Auto Immume hepatitis. Its where my immune system attacks my liver. I was diagnosed with it last year when I was 16. It is a very scary disease. I want people to know about this. The original ER doctor has never even heard of it. So when I get liver flare up and such how will I be treated if they dont even know what it is. Liver flare ups are a horrible pain. But I take medicine to control my liver enzymes. Normal liver enzymes are in the 30s-or 40s mine where in the 500s! Thats very high especially for a young person like me. I really need help spreading the word about this disease. People with AIH really need your help too. Its very rare but we need a cure. People have died from this. Some people need liver transplants, or money for medicine. Doctors put us on a steroid pill called prednisone and azathioprine. Prednisone has horrible side effects including diabetes, hunger, cancer, hair loss, hair gain, muscle loss, seizures,anger problems, depression, and many others. Azathioprine is an immunosuppressant. That means it makes it harder for us to fight off sicknesses like the average cold, or flu. People even get MRCA. If we get sick it attacks our liver so we get very very Ill. We really need your help. Please spread the word on AIH.
