Hi, Im the organiser of Yellow Ribbons for Hong Kong Democracy- University of Southampton that advocate the umbrella movement in Hong Kong. I am proposing a possible joint-event - [Sent your love to air] Basically, have you heard of Chinese Sky Lanterns? If not, they are hot air balloon but made of paper, and in our culture, you write your wishes on them and send them to the sky. It symbolize sending love and peace to far away places. So we are wondering, would you be interested in holding an event like this together? This would involves first setting up a table outside SUSU and ask people to come and write on the lanterns*, then we can invite people to come to common to send them to the sky! And we will make a nice video of it. *People can write anything on it, from wishes of stopping violence to support Hong Kong.
