Hi Kids……….I haven’t been here in a while. In case anyone ever asks of you and requires an answer, “Yes, grieving certainly does put a damper on your social life!” Forty six years ago on a Thursday night, I sat watching the Tigers win the 1968 pennant and finished knitting the blanket that would snuggle my first child as I brought him/her home from the hospital. Back in those days we simply waited for what we were blessed with. Could’ve been a boy…..could’ve been a girl. Friday’s headlines read, “WE WIN.” (I still have that paper). At 1:01 p.m., on Friday, October 11, 1968, my Traci Lynn came into the world. I watched her take her first breath and my world was complete. Tomorrow will be her first birthday in Heaven. We were all so blessed to have known her. I know that she is now pain free and joyously happy. I wish that could over-ride my sorrow for her absence in my life. Maybe someday it will; just not today. Please think of my girl with love tomorrow. She is so very much missed by all of us. xoxox
