Hi Ladies.... Hope you are all fine and dandy...Here is the next few weeks schedule. If you have any questions over the next few weeks just message Julie Haldon please as I have sorted this rota out with her. Quite a few have offered help whilst I am away so you will see your name appear along the way. If you find that you cant do these nights please let Julie Haldon know asap please and she will amend the rota. Before I put the schedule up there is going to be a little change in groups. I know there are some people who really want to run the further distance in the evenings but are put off as you feel you hold others up. As I have said on many occasion it is not about speed but about motivation and pushing each other. What will happen in the future is we will do the low mileage group, the middle group which is usually about 3/4 miles then if there are two levels speed in the higher mileage group then we will split into two. Doing this will enable the quicker runners to go ahead without worrying about the others. BUT...if on some occasions the longer mileage groups end up running together could the person leading shuttle from front to back throughout until the run is over. People who end up being left are discouraged and its not what we are about. I dont expect the fast runners to stop but even if you run back and forth that would be great. Where and when possible we will split the groups though x x All those who are doing a half marathon in or around September needs to be up to 10 miles by the time I get back. Julie Haldon will lead Sunday morning groups and will do 8 miles this Sunday coming, 9 the Sunday after and 10 the Sunday after that. Dont worry about it. Caroline Hamill get on it !! as you may end up doing an event in extreme heat and you need to know how to cope. Drink copious amounts of water throughout that day and the leaders will decide to take you as undercover as possible. I have run marathons where the fire engines have been out to hose us down. You need to try x x x If over the next 3 weeks you find the weather stays really hot you still need to train. Just carry extra water and run in places like Storeton Woods, Brotherton Park or The Wirral Way. Please dont cancel due to heat Finally before you read the schedule.......starting in September Jill Connor has kindly offered to run a 10k training group so for those who sign up for their first 10k Jill will put you through your paces. Please message Jill if you sign up for any 10k after September. Ok...here is the schedule......starting tomorrow. MONDAY 28th. Meeting at the civic/Bebington 6.15 walkers/joggers lead by myself and Jill Connor. 7.30 lead by myself, Julie Haldon and Melissa Waring. TUESDAY 29th. 7.30 meeting at Morrisons In New Brighton. Lead by me. WEDNESDAY 30th meeting at the civic/Bebington 6.15 walkers/joggers lead by Lynne Lewis and Heidi Moody. 7.30 Lead by Julie Haldon and Melissa Waring. THURSDAY 31st. Meeting at the civic/Bebington CROSS COUNTRY lead by Julie Haldon, Margaret Kelly and Wendy Scarborough.(Margaret and Wendy see Julie). Cross Country is for all levels and speeds. SUNDAY 3rd AUGUST Morning Training for Venwy Half (any half). Meeting at Poulton Lancelyn Primary 8 miles lead by Julie Haldon. Time to be confirmed by Julie. MONDAY 4th August. Meeting at Civic/Bebington 6.15 Lead by Jill Connor and Lynne Lewis 7.30 Julie Haldon and Melissa Waring. TUESDAY 5th. Meeting Civic/Bebington Lead by Melissa Waring, Wendy Scaraborough and Margie Kelly. WEDNESDAY 6th Meeting Civic/Bebington 6.15 Lynne Lewis and Heidi Moody from civic 7.30 Meeting at Bebington High playing fields for PE lead by Our Dave Goodhall. THURSDAY 7th from Civic/Bebington. Ok Folks...please follow this rota as much as possible. As I said earlier, any questions get in touch with Julie Haldon. I havent scheduled in any morning runs as not sure who can lead what and when. Please stay in touch all you morning runners for the next 3 weeks and train together. Julie will run if she can.
