Hi Ladies, Just wanted to give you an update (as I will be - TopicsExpress

Hi Ladies, Just wanted to give you an update (as I will be really busy for next few weeks): TOUR We are getting very excited about Tour this year - we have more then enough commitment to get a solid team to all three tours, so if you are super keen, take advantage of the early bird payment for tours (£60 for all three, £20 per tour) until the 30th April - after that it goes up to £25 per tour. Dont forget UKU membership (£5 for students, £18.50 for juniors, £27.50 for seniors). KIT The kit is looking incredible. My London buddys have seen the design and are scared about how hench we are all going to look. If you want kit, the orders will be taken soon. Cost is going to be £60 for two shirts and shorts - high quality print/fabric made by Scimitar. JUST TO CLARIFY: You do not have to have new kit/matching kit to play womens tour - it would be nice to have everyone looking fresh - but realistically we dont expect that in year one! LEADERSHIP You may have noticed a few additional details on the spreadsheet. If you havent got access yet and you want it - please message me. Obviously, I cant play tour with Devon this year but I am managing the team (a little like Alex Ferguson managed Man U, but better). So, at the last training session I put a committee into force to make sure it all runs smooth - like a well-oiled fish-monster. The wise monkeys that will be leading our troop are: Abi Cox - Captain (Takes final decisions, makes sure jobs are done) Catherine Parsons and Jess Taylor as part of the tripod - help call lines, provide feedback to the captain about what is working/not and how people are feeling, looks out for all the players Helen Gibb - is the scheduling monkey and will make sure you all get to your games on time (40 mins before game time, minimum - lots of time to bond with each other and get warmed up of course) Sophie Leonard is going to run the warm-ups Melanie Melrose and Becky Severn will look after your wellbeing, Mel in charge of cakes, water and suncream application, Becky in charge of looking after the young-ones. Emma Swanton (Joe Green) and Hannah Bullock I am hoping you guys can provide some great chants/songs to motivate the troops into action! I realise that this hasnt been a democratic vote, but I hope you are happy with the current state of Issys dictatorship, any problems at any time - come and have a chat with me or Abi or anyone who you feel happy to talk too, or just send me a message! There maybe another training/social session on Easter Sunday. Failing that, the next date for the diary is 25th May (Weekend before Tour). If I can, I will try and get something else in beforehand. AIMS This is our first year, so the best thing is not to have any expectations, just go out there, have fun, experiment with the things we have practised and keep learning, dont forget the Devon motto Heart & Legs. TUESDAY/THURSDAY NIGHT TRAININGS If you can make it, there is a fitness session on Tuesday evenings at Flowepots (6:30 - Dark) and club training on Thursday evenings (6:30-Dark) open to all. Good luck to those of you playing High Octaine - go knock out some lads for me - I suggest Woo...... Much Love Issy (Contact me about anything you want - I will try and help if I can.......)
