Hi Ladies, Yay!! We have a venue!! I had a meeting with the events team at Mercure Resort today and they are really supporting this event. Providing complimentary venue hire and set up, will help with decorating the room and the chef has designed a special yellow inspired high tea. The price will be $20 per person, and they will set it up so that individual guests can contact the resort directly to RSVP and pay their money. The resort is also going to send out receipts and keep a record of who is attending etc so we can have a registration desk on the day and tick peoples names off as they arrive. This week we will design a flyer that their management needs to approve, then this flyer can be spread as far as we want!! They are happy to host the event even if there is only 5 people, but also have offered their huge ballroom to use if we can get the numbers!! It would be great if we could get a few sponsors still for some room decorations or a lucky door prize, so if you know anyone who has a business that theyd like to promote, please let us know and perhaps they can help contribute to the event. Any musicians out there that would like to show off their talents and be our entertainment? Thanks for your help ladies :)
