If interested please revert with your updated resume REQ Title: Assistant Planner Duration: 3months Location: Duluth, GA Details: Closely monitors the status of replenishment shipments and production orders to ensure that they are received and/or completed within the expected lead-times, and provides direction to the appropriate locations when items need to be prioritized and/or expedited. Working in close coordination with the Global Planner, ensures target inventory levels are maintained at all Distribution Centers and bulk inventory locations by releasing the necessary inventory replenishment orders, and generates valid SKU level production schedules for multiple manufacturing sites. Skills Work with Global Planner in utilizing outputs from the Supply Chain Planner (SCP) to execute prioritized SKU-specific production and shipment schedules for each manufacturing site and/or bulk warehouse. Generate and execute orders to build/ship lens kits, as needed. React to changes caused by forecast updates, product shortages, delays in manufacturing, and transportation issues to formulate alternative plans. Provides direction to DC’s and manufacturing sites for prioritizing and expediting the necessary items to cover for supply and/or demand variations. Researches core cause of backorders and deviations in supply and/or demand. Design/implement new processes and procedures that identify and minimize the impact of supply and/or demand deviations so that future backorder occurrences can be prevented Most important decisions made fully independently: Ensure that the weekly production schedule/requirements generated by SCP are accurate and capable of meeting our inventory and customer service objectives. Education Degrees/Certificates Minimum Required: 4 Year College Degree Preferred Level: APICS CPIM or CIRM Certification Experience Years and type of experience Minimum Required: 3 to 5 years experience in production planning and inventory management Preferred Level: 5+ years experience, 2 years CIBA experience Skills Type and proficiency Minimum Required: Strong PC skills and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
