PAWS TO CELEBRATE Animal Welfare League of New London County is having a holiday fundraiser Sat., 11/16, 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. & Sun., 11/17, 11 a.m.- 3 p.m. at Boilermakers Lodge 614, 33 Sacred Heart Drive, in Groton. Our Paws to Celebrate celebrates our nonprofits’ 50 years of service! Well have some pawsitively purrfect adoptables; holiday baked goods; a wonderful silent auction along with a resale of holiday treasures. Come take a Buy-a-Bone Chance or two; get a ‘fluffing’ by a talented crew that do hair braiding/nail art; and pick up some Xmas treasures on our resale tables. Meet Donna Velardi, an animal communicator, and find out about your pets past; have your companion animal microchipped with a Home Again microchip for $20 (this includes the registration cost) and protect them from loss; and, please, bring donations for our pet food drive. There are many animal families in need in Southeastern CT--- please help us help to keep them together this holiday season! During our Paws to Celebrate you’ll have a chance to meet AWL s Ambass-A-Dogs Jasmine and Gracie. And, Compassion for Cats of N.L. County, Phoenix Rising Equine Rescue and a few local pound dogs will be there looking to go Home for the Holidays. Please make ADOPTION YOUR FIRST OPTION. When you open your heart and home this holiday season to a pet in need you will save their life. The second chance once given to a homeless pet, the compassion and love you offer will come back to you as unconditional love.
