Hi SEAT Pilots and Gurus Strange thing happened this morning on my way to work. Driving normally between 100-110Kmh and was about to overtake so I put a little gas and there was this loud pop sound that seems to come from the engine bay, (sounded like my mk1 golf when a boost pipe blew off). Car was still going ok and boosting so not wanting to stop on the highway in the dark, I reluctantly carried on to work. I later checked under the hood but couldnt find any loose pipes or anything with my naked eye. So driving home I noticed that now the boost seems different - Not as strong but still boosting. Also not hearing the exhaust as loud when tapping off boost. Seems like something definitely is not right. Very worried, I stopped at the local VW just before they closed, and they examined the car for about 30min, also put it on the lift , revved it and checked. They couldnt pickup anything, no vacuum leaks, no error codes besides Lambda sensor (Car has DP and remap). They reckon the turbo sounds fine and its boosting, but they couldnt tell why its not fully boosting. I havent made any changes in 4 years and the car was driving perfectly until now...This car is really nursed like a baby... What could it possibly be ? I am lost....I just hope its nothing Major !! Any help will be appreciated ...
