Our 28 yr old son, Jonathon Ward, suffered a major back injury in April of 2008 protecting his 2 week old son. He was paralyzed from the waist down when a disk ruptured and pinched his spinal cord. He fought for 9 months and with God’s help learned how to walk again. Due to exposed nerves and other issues, he is scheduled for laser surgery in Scottsdale, Arizona on November 13th. He lives with us in Ruidoso. He is on his dads insurance and waiting for SSI, but between co pays, gas, hotel and having to rent a vehicle because we dont have a reliable car, we dont have the finances to cover what is needed.
