Hi. Thanks for accepting me into your group. It’s much appreciated. My name’s Paul and Im doing research for a book Im writing about the national heroes/icons of countries around the world. I came across your group on Facebook and decided to get in contact. I hope this is okay. Basically, Id just like to know who are the most important national heroes/icons of Nepal. They can be historical, (old or new), they can be political, cultural, even mythical. It doesn’t matter. Each country is different. However, they do have to be known by a reasonable percentage of the population in their country. Although I can find much of this information elsewhere, in order to get a more personal perspective I need to contact people from the countries themselves. It’s surprising how different written history and oral history can be. If anyone there can help with an opinion or two, Id be very grateful. Thanks very much.
