Hi, There is this dialog in The Dark Knight Rises where Bane (Tom Hardy) talks about darkness. Last night, I had an encounter with a creature that was born in darkness. It was just like anyother day as I sat watching Breaking Bad. Headset on and lights off, I was almost out when I felt a dull thud on my chest. Involuntarily, my hand caught something. It took a second for me to notice that what I caught had wings. There was a screech as I let go and scampered to turn on the lights. It was a bat. As the initial shock left me, the puzzle hit me. I could chase roaches, dogs, rats and cats. They see me and run away but how on earth do you chase a blind creature? However, despite the fear and me sitting covering my face, I noticed that the creature could fly between the blades of the running fan. Whoa. I battled in vain and decided to kill the creature when I decided to wake my mom. I could handle violence but she could send the creature away without killing it. Turns out, all it needed was her to open the door and it flew away in minutes. Being blind did not affect the creature. It moved with a dexterity that even people with a gift of sight do not.
