Hi Volunteers, We are getting lots of calls/emails about the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 Volunteer campground allocations. Whilst we appreciate that some of you are unhappy about where your campground is located- please appreciate that we have a very large number of volunteers that require campsites, and not enough campsites to put you all on. We tried to fulfil as many requests as we could, but this was not always possible. It may be an idea to talk among yourselves and try & swap campsite numbers when you arrive to the track, but we will not be relocating any campsites as we do not have the capacity to do so (remember we run 9 events from the office- Bathurst campsites is only a very small part of the event operations) The reduced size of the campsites has enabled us to fit many more volunteers into the campground. Whilst this means you have less space, campsites do not have to be shared with other groups as has been the case in the past. We feel this was the fairest means of allocation- meaning nobody missed out on a campsite that applied correctly. Please note the 4m x 11m will be line marked and enforced. You MUST fit within the space allocated to you or security will be called to ensure you are not encroaching into other peoples space. People who do cooperate will face eviction from the campground. We would like to thank you for your understanding and cooperation with the camping process.
