Hi Zane a few years ago my best friend was pregnant but she had to get rid of it because her mom told her too. Her mom thought she wasnt ready for that type of responsibility on her. For many years she felt hate in her heart for her mom. As her best friend I stuck by side. When I found out I was pregnant I could sense some jealously the Lil things she would say & every week she wants to take a pregnancy test like damn why cant this just be my moment to shine. She says shes happy for me & she shows it sometimes but I need to know whats really going on in her head. Please help me I dont want to loose a friend over something thats so petty like this. Do I confront her , make her even more madder , just let it roll of my shoulder & keep moving on with life. MY RESPONSE: Please do not confront her. Your friend is hurting and probably regrets a decision forced upon her that she can never take back. She has a child that she will never get to know and they she decided to terminate in the womb. Not every woman has an easy time dealing with that, especially if life moves on and they are now in a position to embrace a child and there is no pregnancy. You will have this child, and God-willing someday she will have one as well if it is meant to be. It is not about having a moment to shine and if you are carrying it that way, no wonder she is acting jealous. All will be fine. If she is truly your friend, you will be protective of her feelings instead of inciting some kind of confrontation. People deal with loss in various ways. This is her way but it does not sound like she is not a loving person toward you. You need to appreciate that because loyal and true friends are hard to find, especially for females.
