Hi, advice appreciated please. I had the vet a few weeks ago to my mares tail which was causing her a lot of distress. It had scabs all over it and the vet suggested the hair be clipped off and treat it with antibiotics, hibiscrub and flamazine cream. The vet wasnt sure wasnt sure what had caused it but thought it was fly bites which became infected. It heeled lovely and the hair is growing back. But unfortunately the problem seems to have reappeared in the last couple of days. Does anyone have any suggestions to prevent the flies getting to it? I am thinking of some kind of mesh tail guard which will encase the whole tail? I have been using the horrible yellow summer fly cream but am looking for a more sustainable solution. Thanks
