Dear BMC black alumnae, past members of The Sisterhood, and BACaSo, I hope this e-mail finds you all well and that the fall has been lovely to you all. My name is Florangel Suero, and I am currently a junior Posse scholar studying Psychology at Bryn Mawr. I have been an active member of all Perry House clubs, last year I was actually Perry House Liaison for The Sisterhood, and I have been in the Perry House Committee/Student Committee of Housing Options since my freshman year here. This spring I have the amazing-beyond-description opportunity to travel to Sao Paulo, Brazil; Ahmedabbad, India; and Cape Town, South Africa, as part of the SIT: IHP Cities in the 21st Century program that focuses on the cultural, social, and political structures of cities. Due to family financial hardships, and my uninsured status, paying for the program and fees associated with it (including: visa fees for all countries, required immunizations, required malaria medication) will be extremely difficult for me.
