Hi all, Arrived yesterday , stayed overnight at the Crowne Plaza at Heathrow then took the hoppa to terminal 3. Flew with Virgin to Miami . Flight was great in the bubble apart from a poor boy being sick behind us and one if our inflight TVs not working despite numerous efforts by the crew, who I must say were so attentive. After hearing so many horror stories about Miami airport we found it a breeze! Off the plane first straight through immigration , cases were on the carousel before we had even got there! I had done Alamo savetime , so went straight to the garage however had to go back to the counter . I think the sales guy realised there would be no hard sale with my husband and we were done in 20 minutes and back down to the garage for car collection . We waited no longer than 15 minutes for a SUV to be returned and we were on our way! Really smooth drive to Orlando 3.5 hours straight through the tolls on the Florida Turnpike .... Would definately do it again and met others doing the same well worth it for the saving in flights . It was a smooth journey until 2 miles from Caribe Cove on the 192 when we got stuck in traffic for 1.5 hours !! Oh well arrived tired but so pleased to be here. Its 6am here wide awake so time to unpack and find the tea bags . Ive woken to a dawn chorus from frogs In the lake behind us🐸🐸🐸. Cant wait for the holiday to begin !
