Hi all. As the growing season ramps up we at the Mercy Garden are looking for Day Captains who will coordinate with Rich and myself to understand what needs doing and then will help oversee volunteers who come that day of the week (so a Saturday Captain would commit to being in the garden and helping to coordinate the effort of volunteers for a few hours every Saturday, for example). Also looking for people to help with fund raising (approaching local businesses, helping finding grant opportunities and writing grants, as well as gardeners, carpenters and folks willing to water and weed on a regular basis. Wed love to hear from you if you are able to help us raise food for needy families as well as providing learning opportunities for those interested in creating pollinator gardens, native plant gardens and much more.
