Hi all, I dont post here very frequently but I wanted to announce that I got a new GCC! A little over a month ago I adopted Guava so I am new to the species (though by no means new to birds!) & today I went to a local bird sale (intending to buy NOTHING) & ended up coming home with a 4 month old GC who sadly has a leg deformity (suspect broken in the nest). The breeder sold him for only $10 & went over all the details of his diet & asked lots of questions to make sure I was the right home for him. I have named him Wonky & though he is avery bred, he is very inquisitive & engaging through the bars. He doesnt appear to be in any pain & climbs/perches like a trooper. I have him in a second cage doing the proper introduction process but I hope Wonky & Guava could be friends. The first photo is of Wonky on the trip home & Ill post a photo of Guava in the comments :)
