Hi all! I thought I would take a moment to post some thoughts - TopicsExpress

Hi all! I thought I would take a moment to post some thoughts (and facts) in regards to water and annexation. Some questions to water have come up, and I thought I would take a moment to clear them up once and for all. As always, do your own due diligence... You can concede that opinions are fact, or that a development agreement replaces the need for an annexation vote (if so, what are we doing on Thursday?) At the meeting on Sunday, Mr. Frease mentioned that they had in fact drilled a test well in the Comal area of the parcel and had met with brackish water. If Mr. Frease decided to sidestep Cow Creeks jurisdiction by drilling on this small parcel in Comal, it is far from definite that he would meet with enough quality water to feed his 635 homes. However, even in the event that the water was fine, he still would not be able to supply his 635 homes with water, because he needs more than one well, and to put more than one well on that small parcel in Comal violates both TCEQ regulations and the City of Fair Oaks Ranch regulations on how far apart wells can be. So now the question becomes [has always been]: If he can do this all anyway without us, why doesnt he? Why did he come down from Austin on a Sunday to convince us? Why did he say he would abandon the project without annexation? Its because he needs us to lay down and not oppose the annexation. And if we listen to the noise and lay down it will be to the detriment of our natural resources, property values, and way of life. Annexation to our city is not an absolute right, and requires a vote which has yet to occur. If the citizens are widely against this, whose interests are represented with a yes vote? Are yours?
