Hi all. Not a good day today and the visit to the dr was disappointing. I have bilateral sciatica (sciatica in both legs which is not common and can be dangerous) as well as 2 prolapsed discs and I am having a scan tomorrow to see if there is possibly a 3rd. All this from walking on uneven ground and tripping on lego!. Bilateral sciatica is very serious and the dr is wanting to admit me to hospital to be monitored, however I have asked to recover at home and promised minimal movement. I have also said that if the cocktail of pain relief does not help with the pain I will go to the hospital without argument. I am on many different pain relievets and am finding so far a slught relief however this is a pain like no other... I cant sit, stand, walk or lie down without extreme pain and having Riley at home as you can imagine I am reluctant to take the full dosage prescribed to me by my dr so we are just taking it minute by minute... wish me luck that scan does not show any further deterioration or another prolapsed disc and it will make tomorrow a really great day.. love to you all...
