Hi all, We/Keswick Canoe and Bushcraft are contemplating running a guided canoe expedition in France on the Ardeche next year. - Heres why.... The Ardèche Gorges in France is often referred to as the Grand Canyon of Europe with spectacular limestone cliffs towering up to 1000ft above the meandering river below. Based in the South of France, at this time of year we will experience warm weather (you could call it hot even!), and the water is a lovely temperature. Sounds perfect doesnt it! Were thinking of running it probably beginning of April as its much quieter then and it would be about 4 day trip we reckon plus travel days etc. Whether we run this will depend on interest of course. Can you let me know, in the first instance, if you might be interested in joining us? Once i gauge numbers and interest level we can work out whether its feasible to run and cost etc? Speak soon.
