Hi all; Well Gwen did not go back to hospital. As I was leaving to head down, I got another call. The Paramedic was not optimistic that a return trip would result in admission, as she would just be going back to Toronto Western. Plus, she did not want to go, she just wanted to sleep. I was down for a few hours. But the incident has been positive in other ways. Hopefully there will be better coordination and communication going forward. I had good conversations today with the acting Head of Nursing and the Nurse Practitioner at the nursing home, and also input from her regular Family Doctor. Hopefully the antibiotics start to kick in and the fever goes. They have been changed to a broader-spectrum type as there may be more than one source of infection. She reported that she slept well last night, and she sounded better. Her old friend Lavada came in to visit today for an hour, and Tony is there with her now. Thank you for your support and well-wishes. Lets hope that 2015 brings good health and cheer for everyone!
