Hi all, Weve contacted the Library in relation to complaints of increased numbers of Leaving Cert students this week. Theyve provided us with the following response; Notwithstanding the above, I will, again, consult with the security supervisor to ensure that ID checks are sustained – especially at critical times. We are very aware that UL students use this week as a study week, as the extended opening hours begin from today (i.e. 08:00am – 24:00 M-F) along with earlier opening at the weekends too. I would also request that if UL students do notice any leaving cert students in the building that they immediately notify a member of security or library staff, and the LC/secondary student will be asked to leave the building straightaway. The vigilance and assistance of our own students with this problem is always greatly appreciated. Best of luck to those using the Library this week to get through the final assignments of the semester!
