Hi all, You may remember Gabby Florek from choir a while back. This is what shes been up to lately as part of her drama studies. Shed love to see you at Blacktown on Dec 18 or 20. “Seedlings” is a 20 minute movement piece, created by students from the University of Sydney. It explores themes of immigration, the refugee experience and reconciliation. As an extension of the show, art installations featuring drama students from Western Sydney and the University of Sydney will pop up over Blacktown before each show. It’s a free show and there is no need to book in advance. Open to all ages. Incidentally, the garden in which Seedlings will be performed is located right in front of Bowman Hall, in which Whitlam launched his historic Its Time Campaign. abc.net.au/news/2014-03-10/whitlams-blacktown-speech-1972/4379058 This is a big experiment and an important project.
