Hi all, for those of you that dont know I am currently away travelling with my wife Jayne. She has cancer and the prognosis is not great. So she made a list of places she wanted to visit and see while she was still able to. When she told me she wanted to visit China to see The Great Wall, The Terracotta Warriors, and Giant Pandas plus the Taj Mahal I said why on earth would you want to go there! Jayne being Jayne was determined to make the trip even against hospital advice and when asked about the distances involved merely said she would break up the flights and stop off. Im so glad I got to the places we went to, places that were of no interest to me but Ive come away thinking yes Ive really enjoyed what weve seen. Currently we are in the Maldives on our way home, and looking to see if we can maybe get home a few days early as Jayne is not so good at the moment, as has been the case for much of the trip but she was determined to see the sights and Im pleased for her that shes got to do the things she wished to do. Most nights weve been in bed by 10pm as Jaynes been tired so not done much on an evening. The journey along with a few photos: Abu Dhabi stopped off to rest and break up the journey China: Beijing- to see The Great Wall, Tienamen Square, and Forbidden City, Ming Tombs and Summer Palace. Xian - Terracotta Warriors Chengdu - Giant Pandas Thailand - just to rest up but took and elephant ride India - New Delhi and Agra - Taj Mahal Sri Lanka - over night on way to Maldives Maldives just to rest up. We return again via Abu Dhabi.
