Hi all, this is a sad update unfortunately. I heard from animal services yesterday and the poor old guy i found last week is not in good shape. Hes 10+ years old, arthritis, tumors, skin condition and hes deaf and needs extensive dental work. I got a price from my vet at approx 3000$ the lady at animal services said hes in pain and they dont recommend an adoption unless i can afford the high level of care and even at that sadly it may not buy him much time. So its with a heavy heart i have to say i cant take him. He will most likely be euthanized this week. I feel a little better to know that at least he didnt die on the street. Hes got a warm bed and a full belly and hopefully some love surrounding him.
