Hi, am I allowed to ask about shell scripting in this group? I want to write a shell script for finding the files with a special name (or files which begin with special characters). My script should get 4 parameters, like this: scriptname.sh I have to define 2 options -c and -p. First one should give me the number of files which have been found and second one should give the path of them. When no file is found, it has to show a message that no file has been found. At first, it has to show an appropriate usage message! I know that I have to use getopts, while and case. But I dont know how! And I dont know how I can count the number of found files in my program. Can anybody help me?
