Hi, can anyone give me some advice please. I have a just turned one year old labradoodle. When we purchased him he had a ear infection ( didn’t know until he went for his jabs) but he has had 3 more since then. It started again a couple of weeks ago, noticed Bailey would whine when he scratched his ears, took him to the vet and he said both ears were in a mess, bleeding inside from scratching, although we had only noticed the symptoms a couple of days prior to this. He had 2x injections and was given ear drops. We took him back to the vet a few days later, who said his ear were still in a mess and gave him another 2 injections. All previous vets had said it was because of the hair in the ears, which our dog groomer does sort out. But this vet now said its his food (allergies). He told us to put him on specific allergy management food, which costs an arm and a leg and to be honest I wouldn’t be able to afford long term. He was on it for 3 days and started with loose poo, by day 5 it was like water. I went into the vets and the receptionist said its normal and that its just from changing food. He has now started coughing and making gagging noises, so I have taken him off the food. I feel it is not right for him at all. I have ordered in some of the sensitive biscuits by Burns. Has anyone else had a problem like this? I hate it that he keeps getting them, and I never know he has them until its really bad as you cant see anything just looking in his ear. Any advice please
