Hi everybody. Here are my rats, Emile and Minnoko: - TopicsExpress

Hi everybody. Here are my rats, Emile and Minnoko: https://youtube/watch?v=qmJnas1i1QI I have two questions: I have had the little fellas for just over 2 weeks now. Minnoko (black/white) was very anxious and bitey at first and drew blood a few times after biting, but I have managed to get to the point where he is absolutely fine with me handling him now and even licks me a lot, so am thrilled with that. However, Emile, who was great with me from the start, is often chased and pinned down by him...excessively. When I let them out of their cage for playtime, Minnoko constantly chases Emile and pins him down and bites at him. Emile has always had a kind and less aggressive nature, and I feel a bit sorry for him. Is there anything I can do to usher him out of his cage at playtime (even treats arent working)? He actually goes back into his cage as I am sure he is fed up of Minnoko chasing him and pinning him down (Minnoko pins him down constantly when let out of the cage, so I thought Minnoko may even be expressing jealousy and possessiveness- is this possible?) I find I have to clean the cage every second day. They use their litter tray fine in the day, but after a night of obvious partying, their poop is everywhere. Is cleaning the cage every second day (full clean-out) excessive?
