Hi everybody! I am back tonight, reporting on our appointments at Childrens this week. As you can imagine, Melanie and Lane are whooped! The week started out rough, with an unfriendly doctor, but it has improved a lot since then. This week, Melanie, Lane and I have met with a neurosurgeon, neurologist, hematologist, physical therapist, pain doctor and 2 psychologists. Lane also got a CT Scan, blood work drawn, and had many, many tests that he handled like a champ. All in 3 days! We got some good news along the way that we wanted to pass along to everyone that has been praying for Lane. The blood clot is gone. GONE! The best news that Lane probably got all week, is that he doesnt have to get injections twice a day in his belly anymore. YAY! And Lanes skull seems to be healing on its own. As things stand right now, he may potentially need surgery later, but they think his skull is healing well (but very slowly) on its own. These are two great improvements that we are thrilled about! The doctors are going to be adjusting Lanes medication regime to help give him some pain relief, as his brain is still pretty swollen, and he gets frequent headaches. We attribute all of his healing to God and the prayers you have offered for him over the past 4 months. We cannot thank you all enough for the support!
