Hi everybody I hope you all had a great new year and are still in one piece. I wonder how many of you have made new year resolutions and broken them already answers on a postcard please - only joking. On Friday 9th January my gorgeous boy Paul would have been 10 years old. Its heartbreaking to know I cant wish him a happy birthday ever again but I can write him a dedication so here goes........... PAUL I miss your smile and your cheeky grin We can never see your beautiful blue eyes that showed the love within Everyone saw the grit and determination on your face Whenever you had taken your marks and competed in a race Your first long jump however ended in disaster With me and Jack creased up with laughter You did a perfect run up to the line But your spike got stuck and you did a somersault just fine And landed headfirst into the pit All we could see was you and sand go flying and I thought oh s**t But you soon got the hang of it quick enough The rules regarding the long jump are very tough Watching you run I knew you felt free from your cares and your worries Training in all weathers including snow flurries You gave everything your all, you even flew a plane And your smile lit up the carriage when you went on the Thomas train The pilot in the cockpit said you grasped the controls very quick But I think he regretted doing a loop the loop when you were promptly sick You are wrapped tight around my heart little man Forever loved for infinity and beyond Run free now Paul wrapped safely in love Watched over by loved ones who are already above I am organising a memorial concert for Jack and Paul on the 24th October at St Johns Church and all the proceeds will go to Bluebell Wood Childrens Hospice futher details to follow in the near future watch this space................
