Hi everyone--my office is looking to bring on unpaid interns in Washington, DC beginning immediately through December 12th. This internship provides exposure to the legislative process, while developing a strong understanding of how a congressional office operates. Intern responsibilities include answering phones, leading tours of the Capitol, opening and sorting mail and faxes, and assisting legislative or communications staff with research and correspondence as needed. Candidates should be highly professional, have the ability to juggle their duties in a fast-paced environment, and possess excellent communication skills. Although internships are unpaid, this is a great opportunity to gain Capitol Hill experience and possibly college credit. Ties to Kansas are a plus, but not required.
