Hi everyone, ASSOCIATION SURF COMPETITION.i I wish to advise that the Association surf fishing comp. scheduled to be held on Sunday the 29th of June last was called off due to unfavourable weather conditions. THE ASSOCIATION NOW ADVISES THAT THIS COMP. WILL NOW BE HELD ON SUNDAY THE 27th OF JULY. The venue is still at Apollo Bay with fishing permitted from the marina as well as the beaches. ONLY SALMON CAN BE WEIGHED IN.. Start time is 9.00 am with lines up at 3.00 pm. This is an “individual comp”, ie: not a teams comp. with three sections – Senior men, Senior Ladies, and Juniors. Entry fees apply – Seniors $5.00 , Juniors $2.00. Members can weigh in fish during the comp. or at 3.30.pm- look for John Hotchin’s purple van which will be parked somewhere on the main drag at the northern end of the town. The competition will conclude with a sausage sizzle and drinks provided by the Association. FISH STOCKINGS FOR 2014-2015. The Association of Geelong and District Angling clubs has been advised that Fisheries have brought forward the final date for the lodging of submission regarding fish stockings for 2014 – 2015. Accordingly in order to lodge a submission with Fisheries, the Association will be holding a special meeting commencing at 7.30 pm on Thursday the 17th of July. Venue is the “Blue building”, also referred to as the L.A.C. building which is located underneath the James Harrison bridge on the south side of the Barwon River..
