Hi everyone. As of now, I am aiming high. I am changing my major as well as my way of thinking. Instead of a physical therapist, I will be pursuing a career as an astronaut. I dont want an office job where I wake up and work my life away. But who said I had to? Why CANT I be an astronaut? Ive done some research and I only grow more passionate about this. Ive got a pretty good gut feeling about it. You can tell when something feels RIGHT, and for me, this is it. Of all the schools I applied to, most of them offer a physics program that I will earn my masters or doctorates in, while minoring in engineering. After that, Ill apply to NASA as many times as it takes to get in, possibly along with some other privately funded agencies. You tell your kids you can be whatever they want when they grow up, why does that change as you get older? If youre shaking your head at me, thinking this will be impossible, you deserve to be apart of the status quo. While youre sitting in your office staring at a computer screen waiting for retirement, Ill be orbiting Earth, seeing things a minuscule amount of the population will ever get to see. If your dreams dont scare you, they arent big enough.
