Hi everyone, Asking for some prayers for Elijah. He had been gradually having more problems over the last few days... As you all habe read in our previous posts, he had been dealing with lots of tummy issues lately, but also his tracheomalacia is spiraling more and more or if control and we dont know why. Usually this happens when he is sick with a cold (or anything involving his airways) but this is not the case right now. It all started maybe a couple of weeks ago... he started getting so noisy when he was breathing - tons of stridor - and then he developed pretty severe nighttime coughs. The last few nights he has been unable to sleep because of the severity of those attacks, but also he now has obvious obstructions while sleeping (or crying). He has had several blue spells within the last few days and today we needed to keep him on oxygen all day and pump up the concentration from 0.5L to 1.0L. Personally, I think that is a direct result of last night because he was crying so hard and kept choking on his saliva. I pray he didnt aspirate!! Add of now, he had a very slightly diminished sounds in his right lower lobe but otherwise his lungs actually sounds decent when he is not holding his breath. Wer are seeing his ORL on Tuesday and hopefully will be able to get some answers quickly! ! For now we are doing saline breathing treatments every 4 hours and trying to take it easy with him - no oral feeds :( Please pray for the doctors to find out what is wrong, help him get better, and all whilst staying at home (not in the hospital!) The video attached, was taken last night after his enormous cough attack. Cant bring this kids spirit down ♡ I love how happy he is and how much he smiles even if he is not feeling well! !!
