Hi everyone. At my book launch in October I hired a videographer, Christine Green of christinegreen/, to make me a short promo video that I can provide to anyone considering hiring me as a speaker. She did a fantastic job! The video lives on my YouTube channel and also on my book’s website at motherdaughterbookclubs/in-the-media/videos/. Before I begin sending it to schools and colleges, I’m posting it here. I can’t change the video—it is cooked, as they say. But I’m curious what you all think of it, and if you like it, I’d love for you to share it with your children’s schools. Some schools have budgets for bringing in speakers, and if yours does, I’d love the opportunity, and then I could even meet you in person! This video is very much about “Her Next Chapter,” since it was filmed at my book launch, but I have other talks I do at schools, such as my new one titled “Raising Healthy Boys and Girls in Today’s Marketing and Media Culture,” which is for parents of children of both genders as well as teachers. I hope you like the video. I had to overcome a lot of my own hypocritical anxiety about how I look to make this project happen! ☺
