Hi everyone. Got to spurn car park and walked to the second to last set of groynes, post 44. Ended up with 2 codling at 40 cm and half a dozen whiting and a tiny billet. Bait was spurn worms, stinky pink squid and razor. Rigs were fixed paternoster with tronix big dog 2/0 and a 2/0 razor claw circle pennel, and the same but with a razor claw big bend 3/0. Was fishing by 8.15, first codling caught close in about 10, and the second one last cast at distance at half two ish. Not great but certainly not a disaster and my worry about buying a proper fish bag and never catching anything again was put to rest! Both codling were the same size and neatly hooked in the corner of the month on the pennel and returned unharmed. The 20 minute or thereabouts walk wasnt too bad really. Heres a few snaps.
