Hi everyone, I am hoping someone could assist me with some family links. I have known most of my life of my indigenous heritage, but my immediate family was a bit cagey whenever I asked what area we came from. I have recently done a load of digging and my father has opened up a lot more after a bit of begging. Basically I now know my G. G. Grand mother was Mary Emma Thompson (nee Cook) had a daughter , my G.Grandmother Margaret Thompson who married a Hodgson. They both would regularly visit relatives on the La Perouse mission and other camps in Sydney that my father cannot remember the location of. Mary died in 1922 and Margaret a year later. I know it’s a long shot but am hoping to find some family connection in the area. Mary was also said to be born in the Sutherland shire area but with no birth certificate to trace. A big ask I know but who knows someone out there may have a link. cheers Jarn
