Hi everyone! I guess Im a few years older than many here, so Ill fill you in a little bit on my story. I lived on Sandra Lane on the east side of the street, right on the corner of Sandra Lane and Anita Drive. We were one of the first to move in the neighborhood. I was in 3rd grade and went to school for 1-1/2 years at the old 3 room brick school house called Nankin Mills School. A new school was built over on Hubbard drive where I went to 5th grade while the new Perrinville school was being built. I sure do have a lot of great memories of those years, especially of the time at the old brick 3-room school. My teacher for all those years was the best teacher anyone could ask for, Helen Sokyrka (Miss Helen). Did anyone here have her for a teacher? She was one very special lady!!! I recall the Superintendents name was Mr. Higgins. I have no idea how I remembered that!
