Hi, everyone. I have a couple of huge favors to ask. I am getting a ton of questions here every day now. I try my best to keep up with them all, but there are several things that could really help me. First, please be sure you click to the Posts by Others part of this page and scroll down to see if someone else has asked the same question and gotten an answer within the past couple of days. (Recent repeaters: grub worm treatment times; tomatoes that were frosted - to replace or not; hogweed; and a dozen or more plant IDs for unusual weeds. Second place you could help would be to click in my Notes above on this page. I have archived many of the longer answers, for example How do I get my lawn going this spring? in the Notes. Some of them go back a year or two, but I have looked over them, and all that they say is still valid. Third, please click on the FAQ section of neilsperry. I wrote a book called my 1001 Most Asked Texas Gardening Questions. The publisher went bankrupt one month after the book was published, so now, several years later, I have just posted all of it on my website (all updated a couple of months ago). Fourth way you could help me immensely would be always to tell me where you are gardening. The question comes in Neil, how well will this plant do for me? First I have to be sure I can ID the plant. Second, I have to try to figure out if this is a question from Amarillo or Brownsville or, as we had last week, from Hawaii or Rhode Island. It takes back-and-forth or a lot of unnecessary typing if I have to cover all possibilities. Fifth: please dont post questions on new topics in a string of other Comments. I probably wont see it. New questions need to go to my Wall. And finally, I would be SO grateful if you would just say Got it. or Thanks or something to let me know that youve seen my reply. It feels rather hollow to answer questions and never know if the sender ever bothered to come back to look. I especially appreciate those of you who chime it either with answers or with suggestions to others about checking my Notes or posting to my Wall. Thanks, everybody.
