Hi everyone, I have actually joined here with a view to giving up my Bees to a good home. I carried out a cut out rescue fairly early in 2013 (from the floor of a porta-cabin) and the colony overwintered well (with Apistan treatments) and has developed this year. Unfortunatley I have not had the time required to properly look after this colony (have not properly inspected and manipulated the frames in a few months) some of the frames are still cut out comb roughly wired into frames which messed the spacing up slightly. The upshot is that this colony needs a bit of physical work which I know I will not be able to get round to doing - so I am offering everything free to a good home. The colony is in a Poly British National brood box with self spacing frames It currently has 2 poly supers on. There is a poly top feeder, a spare brood box - and a poly Nuc with frames that has been slightly modified for making a hogan trap. I also have some left over in date Apistan I am located in Gedney - PE12 0BY so far enough away to not require a 2 stage move. As stated this is all free to a good home, however a couple of jars of Honey wouldnt go amiss! - the work required un-fusing everything might rule out an absolute beginner looking for a starter colony.
