Hi everyone. Im hoping you can help with my poodle/wheatie mix, Cliff. He grabs everything he shouldnt and runs with it, ultimately destroying the object. We had a trainer recently who said he enjoys when we chase him, which is what we end up doing once we see he has something. However he does this when we arent home as well, and if something is in his reach, we will come home to find it destroyed. We have to be really careful about Cliff-Proofing the house when we leave. One suggestion our trainer gave us was to pick him up, saying oops and putting him in his crate for 20 seconds. We did this consistently for awhile but didnt seem to change his behavior. While its certainly a nuisance for him to destroy our stuff, Im worried hes going to get into something dangerous. Any ideas on how to get him to stop grabbing unauthorized objects? Thanks.
